The Lincoln County office of N.C. Cooperative Extension is accepting applications for the George A. Stoudemire scholarship and the Lincoln County Farmer Terracing scholarship. The Stoudemire gives preference to students planning to study areas directly related to the work of Cooperative Extension: agriculture, natural resources, family and consumer sciences, forestry, etc. The Terracing scholarship is open to any field of study. Both scholarships are only available to students studying at a North Carolina college or university.
The scholarship form will be available here, at each of the area high schools (including Lincoln Charter) in Lincoln County, and at the Cooperative Extension office, 115 West Main Street, Lincolnton.
Students can complete one application and be considered for the scholarship(s) for which they are eligible. The deadline will be January 31st (or the next business day if January 31 falls on a weekend). Feel free to call the Lincoln County Cooperative Extension office at 704-736-8461 if you have any questions.
