Over the past month, members of the Chatham County 4-H Horsekateer Club competed in two virtual horse judging contest—State (NC) 4-H Horse Judging Contest and 4-H Texas A & M Horse Judging Contest. The results for each contest are listed below:

  • Congratulations to Jadyn Clark, Samantha Durham, Victoria Smith, and Caleigh Gantt for competing in the online State 4-H Horse Judging Contest. The contestants judged twelve classes online, gave written reasons, and answered questions about each class. Jadyn placed 15th high individual in the Senior Rookie division, and Samantha placed 12th overall in the Senior Division. Samantha’s finish was good enough to earn her an invitation to try out for the NC National Horse Judging team.
  • Congratulations to Caitlyn Gantt for participating in the Texas A & M Virtual Horse Judging Contest. Caitlyn placed 14th out of 282 individuals.

Chatham County 4-H is very proud of these members for their participation in these two contests, as well as their willingness to adapt to this new format.
