Lincoln County Pesticide Collection Day - December 4th 10am - 2pm
If you have old or unwanted pesticides at your home or farm that you want to responsibly dispose of, then consider participating in Lincoln County’s upcoming Pesticide Collection Day on December 4th.
This is an opportunity for residents of Lincoln and surrounding counties to safely and responsibly dispose of unwanted, out-dated, and/or banned pesticides at no cost. More details below.
The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ (NCDA&CS) Pesticide Disposal Assistance Program, a non-regulatory and cost-free program, in cooperation with Lincoln County Cooperative Extension, will be sponsoring a Pesticide Collection Day on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lincoln County Farmers Market at 225 West Water Street, Lincolnton, NC.
On-site coordination of the collection is being provided by Lincoln County Cooperative Extension’s Pesticide Coordinator, Trevor Reese, along with NCDA&CS.
Nearly all pesticide products will be accepted, including banned and out-dated pesticides. For pesticides with unreadable or missing labels, contact the Cooperative Extension office at (704) 736-8461, for instructions. Participants are asked to save any portion of the label to help identify the material to be disposed of. Unknown materials cannot be accepted.
Pressurized cylinders will not be accepted. For containers greater than five gallons in size contact the Cooperative Extension office at (704) 736-8461,before the collection day. Mini bulk containers will not be accepted.
