Jonas Library Garden

Located at 306 W Main St, Lincolnton, NC, the Jonas Public Library is another public use resource with a garden area supported by Cooperative Extension and the LCMGVA.  Visitors can take advantage of the visual appeal and peaceful setting in the outdoor space adjacent to the parking lot, full of color from Spring through Fall.

Under the leadership of Jo Ann Ostrander, Extension Master GardenerSM Volunteers are in the process of renovating the entire garden area.  A new landscaping plan was coordinated through the Extension Office and Lincolnton officials responsible for the library grounds, earning immediate approval.  City officials, understanding the value and appeal of the project, also endorsed a new irrigation system installation that will keep the garden area thriving and vibrant.  Check the Program Pages below to see a visual record of the progress being made.
